"Every memory I have, there's Jasper." TRIGGER WARNING: SUICIDE I'll leave my "Jasper deserved a better storyline this season that included more screentime" for one of my upcoming Jasper videos, because right now I just wanna talk about Jasper and Monty, and the amazing performances Devon and Chris delivered over the years. The Jonty friendship is hands down the best one on the show, and I still can't fully believe that we're never gonna see these two together again. If there's such a thing as platonic soulmates, I'd say these two classify. During season 1 and 2, they were each other's rock. They often served as the comic relief, but they were so much more than that. The season 2 finale shattered something between them, and it took an entire season for them to get back into a good place, only for both of them to realise that there was no going back to the way they were before, because Jasper had given up. I wish we could've seen more of them this season. I wish we could've seen Monty try and help Jasper, instead of giving up pretty quickly and slowly learning to accept that he was likely going to lose Jasper. But alas, we weren't given that, just as many other things I wish this season could've given Jasper. However, their last scene was beautiful. Jasper begging Monty to tell him that he loves him because he doesn't want him to have to live with that guilt broke my heart. In his last moments, all he could think about was how he could lessen Monty's suffering, and that Monty would stay alive. It was beautiful and heartbreaking, just as Monty's desparation to help and save Jasper was. Both Devon and Chris did such an amazing job. I can't even find the right words to describe it, but this scene will stay with me forever. I cannot thank them enough for this scene and for this beautiful friendship, that I'm gonna miss so much.
